This morning on YouTube, I found an old recording of Stuart Hamblen. He was testifying and singing at a Billy Graham Crusade in Los Angeles, California in 1963, 14 years before Billy Graham was there.
Fourteen years before, when Billy Graham was in the early days of his ministry in a tent in Los Angeles, Stuart Hamblen was converted and turned his life completely around. He had always been a songwriter but now he began to write hymns, and one of his first was “It Is No Secret”.
We were still living on Folly Mountain in early 1940. Father was plowing with the horses and a one‑furrow plow. The church was at the end of our property.
A car was parked in the yard and a man was talking to my father. After the man left, father began plowing near the house. I was in the yard playing, and he said, “Leslie, I asked the minister to supper so go tell your mother that Rev. Robinson is coming for supper”. It wasn’t “dinner” as we call it today, it was “supper”.

Recently on YouTube, I watched the funeral of George Beverly Shea. He lived to be 104 and was soloist for Dr. Billy Graham for almost 60 years.
